Job Summary:

The Chief Nursing Officer, CNO, serves as the key leader for all patient care services at Pipeline Health and its approved affiliates. This role is responsible for providing strategic guidance and management direction to ensure the organization's patient-centered mission is fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve excellence in patient care, operating results, and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership team to participate in strategic planning, resource allocation, and evaluating/improving patient outcomes.
  • Serve as a highly-visible leader and strong advocate for nurses within Pipeline Health, its approved affiliates, and the local community.
  • Formulate and implement plans to promote a positive image, enhance nursing, medical staff, and community relations, and deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Actively contribute to department operations and communications, upholding standards of AIDET patient communication.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a High Reliability organization is a plus.
  • Significant experience leading external key stakeholders in addition to internal resources.
  • Five (5) years managerial experience in a clinical setting.
  • Five (5) years experience as a Registered Nurse, RN.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, and PC (computer) skills.
  • A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with team members.

Education and Certifications:

  • MSN, MHA, MBA, preferred.
  • The current professional RN license issued and/or recognized by the state Board of Nursing for the State of employment.
  • BLS and ACLS from AHA.
  • PALS or ENPC certification is required within 6 months of hire.
  • TNCC, preferred.
  • National Leadership/Professional Certification, preferred.
