Job Summary

The Recovery Support Technician is a vital member of our team at Volunteers of America Mid-States, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our programs and clients. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the functional operations of the residential program and facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to clients, including transportation and childcare services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of events, client sign-in/sign-out logs, and other relevant documentation.
  • Conduct regular facility tours and identify potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Participate in training and clinical supervision to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of post-secondary education preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a treatment facility or related field; specialized knowledge and experience also considered.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of employment.
