New Season Treatment Centers is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Director - Substance Abuse Treatment to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals struggling with Opioid Use Disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the provision of patient care, including patient evaluations, health screenings, and medication management.
  • Support the Medical Director in performing intake, discharge, and administrative procedures, while communicating effectively with nursing staff, counselors, and program directors.
  • Conduct physical examinations of patients upon admission, including annual physical examinations and health examinations, and review laboratory results with patients.
  • Ensure all examinations are performed in accordance with applicable rules and regulations for medically-monitored treatment programs/facilities.
  • Be available for emergency management of patient care and refer patients to primary care providers for medical conditions other than narcotic addiction.
  • Assist with training of nursing staff and ensure proper correction of changes in medication dosage via verbal or written orders.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings or document alternative arrangements in the patient record.

Requirements:

  • Current and active state license as a Nurse Practitioner in the state where the clinic is located.
  • Active Medicaid and Medicare credential.
  • Two years of experience in the field of Substance Abuse.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Office and Excel, as well as Google Suite experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a medically-monitored treatment program or facility.
  • Knowledge of addiction medicine and treatment modalities.
