Key Responsibilities- Provide security services with professionalism, fairness, and compassion in challenging circumstances.
- Perform routine responsibilities during interior and exterior patrols to ensure safety and security.
- Prevent, respond to, and investigate workplace violence.
- Perform key responsibilities to plan, prevent, practice, and respond to emergencies.
- Investigate incidents that occur on Advocate Aurora property and complete timely and accurate reports.
- Liaison with state and local law enforcement and first responder agencies.
- Assist as a training resource for the Department.
- 4 years of experience in a security or public safety role.
- Illinois team members must have completed State of Illinois 40-hour armed course with semi-automatic pistol endorsement.
- Willingness to carry a department authorized firearm while on duty.
- Ability to exercise mature judgment and sound reasoning while maintaining a courteous and tactful demeanor.
- Ability to use a computer to document work.
- Must sit, stand, walk, and drive throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally.
- May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, explosive, and radiation hazards.
