Job Overview

United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire (UCPIE) is a leading organization dedicated to advancing the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of individuals with disabilities. We are seeking a highly skilled Respite Care Provider to join our team in the High Desert Area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide intermittent, regular scheduled, temporary care and supervision for clients with developmental disabilities who reside with family members or care providers.
  • Work a minimum of two hours at each respite appointment.
  • Follow instructions for client care as outlined by parent(s)/guardian(s).
  • Assist clients with feeding, dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, light meal preparation, and other daily needs.
  • Use safety precautions at all times when providing care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPR & First Aid Certification.
  • Clear security clearance (fingerprint live scan) through the FBI and DOJ.
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.A.
Working Conditions

This position requires community driving and visiting families in various home settings. The physical demands of this job include lifting, pulling, pushing, running, and manipulating adaptive equipment and patients.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $17.00 per hour, along with a benefits package that includes a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance.
