About the Role:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for various applications.

  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyses to evaluate the performance, reliability, and manufacturability of mechanical designs.
  • Perform structural and thermal analysis using finite element analysis (FEA) software to optimize design performance.
  • Prototype and test mechanical components and systems, analyzing test data and making design improvements as necessary.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transition from design to production, providing support and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies in mechanical engineering, incorporating new knowledge into design processes and methodologies.
  • Adhere to project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely completion of deliverables while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute innovative ideas to improve product performance and functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the industry.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software for structural and thermal analysis.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with product development processes and project management.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
