Your Role:
As a pivotal member of our organization, you will oversee the progress and achievements of participants in the CDL training initiative. Within a span of three to four months, your efforts will assist individuals in moving from unemployment or underemployment into fulfilling careers.
This position demands innovative thinking to cater to the distinct requirements of each participant.
While the program coordinator role may resemble case management or success coaching, it possesses unique characteristics that set it apart from conventional roles.
Throughout your day, you will take on various roles—acting as a mentor, advisor, sales representative, life coach, and operations manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Participant Support & Administration:
Provide essential support to participants by reaching out and following up regarding important deadlines and attendance.
Engage with participants through calls, texts, and emails to proactively assist them in their job search.
Record participant performance and progress in our specialized Learning Management System (LMS).
Coaching & Facilitation:
Design and lead engaging one-on-one and group coaching sessions focused on comprehensive job search strategies for individuals seeking CDL Class A positions.
Encourage a sense of community and teamwork.
Requirements
Minimum of three years of professional experience.
Proven track record of working with diverse, at-risk youth, including but not limited to justice-involved individuals, unemployed, and underemployed.
Experience in workforce development, recruitment, business development, marketing, or a combination of training and experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the outlined responsibilities.
Ability to transition seamlessly between independent work and collaborative efforts.
Strong collaborative skills.
Inquisitive nature with a keen awareness of human behavior and emotions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with or personal impact from the criminal justice system.
Commitment to working with underrepresented communities and addressing issues related to poverty and inequality.
