KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assessing suitable sewing methods prior to initiating tasks.
- Reviewing templates to ascertain the specifications for each assignment.
- Modifying existing templates or designing new ones as necessary.
- Choosing appropriate thread and preparing it for use.
- Cutting, stitching, and adhering fabric according to the specifications of each item.
- Utilizing the foot pedal and adjusting stitch length and width while sewing.
- Changing the sewing machine needle as needed.
- Identifying and rectifying minor issues with the sewing machine as they arise.
- Participating in discussions with management and colleagues.
- Willingness to learn and assist in various operational tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- Understanding of safety measures associated with sewing machine operation and manufacturing settings.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and supervisors.
- Proficient in handling and manipulating fabrics with ease.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for accurate sewing.
- Familiarity with different types of sewing machines, including straight stitch, overlock, and embroidery machines.
- Bilingual proficiency is required.
- Previous experience with industrial or commercial sewing machines is advantageous.
COMPENSATION
$15.50 per hour, based on experience.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday, 6 AM – 2:30 PM
