Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team at Texas Labor, Corp. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machining processes and be proficient in operating various machine tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain CNC machines and manual lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to understand project requirements.
  • Program CNC machines for optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Assemble components and perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments like micrometers.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and reduce waste.
  • Fabricate parts using various materials while adhering to safety standards.
  • Perform welding tasks as needed for assembly or repair of components.
  • Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure product accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement design improvements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Machinist with a strong understanding of machining techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming CNC machines is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
  • Experience with welding techniques is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety standards in the workplace.

Must have own tools, ability to setup and run machine, experience on Haas, and Fanuc controllers a plus. Swiss Screw machine experience a plus.
