Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team at Texas Labor, Corp. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machining processes and be proficient in operating various machine tools.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain CNC machines and manual lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to understand project requirements.
- Program CNC machines for optimal performance and efficiency.
- Assemble components and perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments like micrometers.
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and reduce waste.
- Fabricate parts using various materials while adhering to safety standards.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for assembly or repair of components.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure product accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement design improvements.
- Proven experience as a Machinist with a strong understanding of machining techniques.
- Proficiency in programming CNC machines is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Experience with welding techniques is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standards in the workplace.
Must have own tools, ability to setup and run machine, experience on Haas, and Fanuc controllers a plus. Swiss Screw machine experience a plus.
