Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plastic Fabricator Leader to join our team at the United States Fleet Forces Command. As a key member of the Production Resources Department, you will be responsible for leading a team of plastic fabricators, rubber workers, and other personnel in the Coatings and Coverings Shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct and train team members on proper work procedures, methods, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement skills training programs using shop training tools and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and Process Instructions (P.I.s) to ensure accurate work execution.
  • Assign and distribute work to team members to ensure productivity and quality.
  • Ensure safety practices and good housekeeping are followed in the shop.
Requirements
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team of skilled workers.
  • Knowledge of rubber, plastics, and fiberglass operations in a shipyard environment.
  • Experience with operating and setting up various rubber and plastics machinery and equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
