Role Summary:

As a Material Handling Specialist, you will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment, including forklifts and both manual and powered pallet jacks, throughout your shift.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Loading and unloading food products from delivery vehicles, which may involve lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds or utilizing manual and powered pallet jacks or forklifts.
  2. Transporting heavy food items to and from cold storage areas, including refrigerators and freezers, while occasionally working in these colder environments for extended periods. Appropriate cold weather gear will be provided.
  3. Assisting with the receipt and dispatch of diverse food products and supplies, ensuring accurate documentation of incoming shipments and raw materials.
  4. Participating in physical inventory counts as required.
  5. Maintaining cleanliness in the work area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste materials.

This position is essential to the efficient operation of our logistics and supply chain processes.
