Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at Partnership HealthPlan of California. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure environments, ensuring the uptime and performance of our production systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure environments, including server farms, network components, and data backup systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the smooth operation of our production systems.
  • Assist in the administration of Exchange 2013 Exchange Server, Avaya/Nortel VoIP systems, and other business applications.
  • Implement and maintain data backup and recovery systems, including Commvault and Microsoft BitLocker.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for server operational procedures and maintain them.
  • Practice systems change management procedures and work with Operations and other IT staff to resolve server/network/application problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business related field or equivalent experience.
  • Four (4) years of network/server administration experience, with a focus on Windows server and Active directory administration, Unix/Linux and Oracle administration, and experience with hardware RAID arrays and other server hardware configurations.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols, subnetting, routing, and IP architecture, as well as experience with Cisco or HP switch and router configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Two (2) years of VMware ESX experience and experience with large data centers, server hardware, and related certifications.
  • Avaya, Nortel, Microsoft, Cisco, and Linux/security certifications preferred.
Performance Based Competencies
  • Ability to quickly acquire in-depth knowledge of AMISYS software and managed care issues.
  • Ability to self-manage and develop timelines for projects required.
  • Ability to work effectively with members and employees at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality of member, employee, and PHC information.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to interpret and understand technical requirements.
Work Environment And Physical Demands

More than 80% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor. May be required to lift, carry, or move equipment of varying size, weighing up to 50 lbs. May be required to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, or work in other non-standing and non-sitting positions to install cabling, systems hardware, and other related equipment.

All HealthPlan employees are expected to provide the highest possible level of service to clients, promote teamwork and cooperative effort among employees, maintain safe practices, and abide by the HealthPlan's policies and procedures, as they may from time to time be updated.

Hiring Range: $118, $154,074.63
