Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Medication Care Manager to join our team. As a Medication Care Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest degree of quality care and services for our residents.
Responsibilities:- Administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.
- Review and document medication administration records.
- Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure accurate medication administration.
- Ensure that medications are passed according to schedule and document any refusals or missed doses.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report any concerns to the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse.
- Restock medication carts and maintain the Medication Room, medication carts, and treatment carts for neatness and cleanliness.
- Assist in checking medication regardless of packaging system and count narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Lead Care Manager each shift.
- Assess residents to determine need for as-needed medication and document and report to supervisor.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; certifications may be required per state or provincial regulations.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
- Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
