Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing surgical procedures by selecting supplies, instruments, and equipment, performing surgical counts, maintaining sterile techniques, assisting surgeons, and decontaminating clinical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surgical procedures by selecting supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Perform surgical counts and maintain sterile techniques.
  • Assist surgeons and decontaminating clinical equipment.
  • Enforce safety measures and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Surgical Tech certification from an Accredited program or 1 year of experience in lieu of certification.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • 3-6 months of orientation/training depending on experience.
