Strategic Marketing Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive business growth and industry leadership for ABM Industries, Inc.
You will work closely with the sales team, corporate marketing, and industry experts to identify market trends, analyze customer needs, and create targeted marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, drive lead generation, and improve sales conversions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing go-to-market strategies aligned with sales and growth targets
- Performing market research to determine industry market size, trends, and new growth opportunities
- Identifying geographic target markets, strategic partners, and industry associations to support marketing efforts
- Providing strategic insights into client purchasing behaviors and defining the client purchasing journey
- Monitoring industry and competitor news to identify market gaps and opportunities
- Developing client success stories and industry insights to drive value proposition and differentiation
- Partnering with digital and creative teams to execute content marketing strategies across all marketing channels
- Developing new creative ideas and concepts to drive sales growth opportunities
- Serving as the initial point of contact for new marketing initiatives and providing approval on marketing activities
- Collaborating with sales, marketing, communications, finance, HR, and operations on various strategic initiatives and projects
- Reporting on key performance metrics to measure the success of marketing strategies
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Marketing or Business, or related field required; MBA a plus
- 5-7 years of marketing, consulting, and/or business development experience
- 3+ years of strategic planning and/or marketing plan development experience
- Experience in the Commercial Real Estate market a plus
- Superior written, proofreading, verbal, and group communications skills
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with a track record of successful client and team relationships
- Outstanding conceptual, strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to research and analyze market data, summarize results, make recommendations, and present to Group leaders
- Ability to drive decision-making across projects and beyond, if needed
- Track record of effective project management skills, including timely delivery and budget management
