Job Summary:

Capital Urological Associates a Division of Compass Health is seeking a part-time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasounds of the kidneys and bladder, scrotum, and prostate, and accurately differentiating between normal and pathologic findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficiently operate ultrasound equipment to perform ultrasounds of the kidneys and bladder, scrotum, and prostate.
  • Accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
  • Review the patient's medical record to obtain necessary clinical information, including patient history, lab results, and radiology reports.
  • Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and assist with procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic information.
  • Accurately identify and label/annotate images.
  • Communicate results of diagnostic examinations to the interpreting physician.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited sonography program.
  • Must hold credential in abdominal sonography and be a registered sonographer by the ARDMS.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage simultaneous assignments.
  • Ability to be flexible in schedule and adapt to change.

Work Environment:

  • Part-time position.
  • 16-20 hours per week.
  • 8-hour shift.
  • Day shift.
  • No weekends.

Relocation:

  • Mount Pleasant, MI: Relocation required before starting work.
