About the Role

The Process Controls Engineer is a key member of our team at Weidmann Electrical Technology, responsible for developing and implementing projects that drive innovation and efficiency in our Urbana, OH facility.

As a Process Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems, instrumentation, and automation solutions that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement control system designs, architectures, and development for systems of varying complexity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Design and develop program/system logic involving multiple systems and subsystems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in control systems, instrumentation, and automation technologies.
  • Provide technical support and training to colleagues and customers.
  • Manage capital projects, including purchasing, installing, and starting up new process equipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate contractors performing work on control and safety systems.
Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Controls Engineer with a degree in Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial controls or 10 years of controls experience in a manufacturing plant.

Strong project management and leadership skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential for this role.
