Job Summary:
The Patient Care Representative will contribute to the goals of Shields Health by providing exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency, and accuracy. This role requires excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients, collect necessary information, and explain consent forms.
  • Assist patients with iPad check-in process and troubleshoot issues.
  • Recognize and utilize language services when needed.
  • Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and patient privacy policies.
  • Work collaboratively with technologists/radiologists to ensure proper patient flow.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Process outgoing and incoming mail and UPS deliveries.
  • Prepare for next day's appointment schedule and communicate potential issues.
  • Provide and respect confidentiality of all customer groups.
  • Verify and enter necessary information into systems.
  • Respond to scheduling emergencies and support customer care.
  • Answer patient and doctor concerns with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Keep management informed of situations with potential impact on the company.
  • Remain current on changes in policies or procedures.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Medical office or healthcare administration courses preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency required.
  • Attention to detail and typing accuracy required.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods while performing data entry and information intake via phone. Can be met with or without reasonable accommodation.

Internal/External Interactions:
This position requires extensive interaction with all customer groups. Candidate must be personable, upbeat, fast-paced, and organized.
