Role Summary
We are currently looking for a Product Development Analyst II to enhance our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that our insurance offerings comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Track legislative and regulatory developments, assessing their implications for our product suite.
- Identify necessary updates to policy language and forms to align with statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with actuaries on rate adjustments for designated business lines and communicate these changes effectively.
- Manage compliance for at least two lines of business.
- Conduct research on emerging coverage and risk factors to safeguard our clients and the organization.
- Prepare and oversee state filings for assigned business lines.
- Engage in testing and auditing processes for business lines before and after implementation.
- Make informed decisions on routine matters autonomously.
- Proactively identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Analyze moderately complex issues, breaking them down into manageable components.
- Recognize interconnections between problem elements and prioritize accordingly.
- Utilize expertise and resources to develop solutions.
- Innovate and assess new product concepts, enhancements, or strategic expansions of existing offerings.
- Uphold our customer experience standards by responding promptly, maintaining a positive demeanor, and managing expectations.
- Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders, including underwriting teams.
- Occasionally liaise with external clients.
- Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Ability to interpret legal terminology into clear policy language.
- Experience in reviewing and filing personal and commercial insurance product forms at the state level.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Capacity to organize and manage work independently.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Preferred coursework towards CPCU or other insurance designations.
- Proficiency in core systems and various software applications.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF) and relevant bureau websites.
