Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team as a Triage Nurse. This role will involve responding to a high volume of calls in a timely manner, actively listening to patients, and documenting their concerns and questions accurately. The successful candidate will be able to prioritize calls effectively, identify those that require immediate escalation to physicians or managers, and operate within the scope of their licensed practice.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid State of Florida LPN license
  • Three to five years of experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting
Responsibilities:
  • Interview patients to gather information and assign triage priority
  • Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team about patients' statuses
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful relationship with all patients and co-workers
  • Assist with patient assessments and care planning
  • Stay up-to-date on advancements in emergency medicine and urgent care best practices
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of patient charting and recordkeeping processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • CPR certification is preferred
