Position Summary:

The Strategic Enterprise Manager is tasked with steering the organization's strategic direction, aimed at enhancing growth, addressing challenges, generating value, and optimizing operational performance. This role requires a deep understanding of business dynamics and serves as a trusted advisor to various functions, offering insights and expertise to drive growth while minimizing costs. The Strategic Enterprise Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering strategic counsel to enhance organizational performance and efficiency. This position continuously evaluates and refines the enterprise strategy by examining emerging market trends, growth opportunities, competitive risks, potential partnerships, and funding sources. The role is responsible for guiding the establishment of long-term growth and profitability objectives. Additionally, it will lead the development and alignment of the annual strategic planning process across the organization, fostering collaboration with all departments to ensure effective strategy formulation, planning, and execution. Throughout the year, this role will balance the development and implementation of strategies with ongoing process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a thought leader to build credibility, influence strategic transformations, and secure support for seamless implementation of changes across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Product Line managers, End Market leaders, and strategic theme leaders to create and sustain a comprehensive medium and long-term enterprise strategy.
  • Work alongside the M&A team to ensure alignment of potential growth candidates with the overarching enterprise strategy.
  • Review existing procedures and operations at both the enterprise and functional levels, providing recommendations for enhancements.
  • Employ data-driven approaches to assess strategic business performance metrics and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of strategic goals and objectives to pinpoint obstacles to progress at all organizational levels.
  • Assist in overseeing the execution of strategy-related initiatives to ensure strategic integrity and quality outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external industry analysts and consultants.
  • Develop and uphold adherence to the enterprise-wide long-term strategic planning framework, collaborating closely with enterprise leaders to ensure the effective development of corporate-wide strategic KPIs and monitoring processes.
  • Lead, influence, and negotiate across various functions to promote a unified enterprise-wide agenda and standardized long-term planning processes.
  • In partnership with the finance team, align the strategic planning process with the annual budget cycle.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to facilitate change management and clarify organizational transitions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; MBA preferred, with certifications in enterprise planning management being advantageous.
  • Management consulting certifications are a plus.
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • At least 5 years of experience in strategic planning.
  • Background in corporate development.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a complex, global, public strategy organization.
  • Prior consultancy experience is beneficial.
  • Strong creative and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in strategy planning and project management, ideally leading large cross-functional teams.
  • Persuasive and influential communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and provide direction across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, professional journals, and technical documents. Capable of writing reports and business correspondence, and presenting information effectively.
  • Mathematical proficiency to calculate figures and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Strong reasoning skills to address practical problems and interpret various instructions.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, project management, and database software, with a preference for Microsoft Suite, particularly MS Project Professional.
