About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an exceptional Customer Service Host to join our team at St Julien Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our Jill's Restaurant team, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Your primary responsibilities will include taking reservations, greeting and seating guests, and ensuring that every interaction is positive and memorable. You will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, making it essential to possess excellent communication skills and a warm, welcoming demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet every guest with a smile and use their name whenever possible.
  • Take accurate reservations, confirming all information with guests prior to closing the interaction.
  • Evaluate and maintain a clean and organized host station, adhering to hotel standards.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, alerting them of special instructions or occasions being celebrated/recognized.
  • Present oneself in a professional manner, adhering to hotel grooming and appearance policies.

Requirements:

  • Previous customer service experience required, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Friendly and service-oriented personality, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and adapt to changing situations.
  • Valid TIPS certification required, or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, with open availability.
