Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncology Specialist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. The ideal candidate will have completed an ABOG accredited fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology or its equivalent and possess a medical license in Virginia.

About the Role:

This position involves providing specialty care in gynecologic oncology to patients, including surgery, in- and outpatient consultation, chemotherapy, and in- and outpatient management of patients with gynecologic cancers. The successful candidate will participate in student and resident education as well as in the department's clinical research activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Actively participating in the department's educational activities, educating students and residents in their core educational objectives in gynecologic oncology
  • Research: Initiating clinical research projects, participating in and facilitating other department research, contributing to scholarly publications/presentations
  • Service: Serving on departmental, hospital, and university committees as necessary, assigned to committees at the discretion of the division director and department chair
  • Clinical: Full participation in the clinical activities of the gynecologic oncology division, including clinic, inpatient care, and surgery

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
  • Completion of ABOG accredited fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology or its equivalent
  • Medical license in Virginia

Estimated Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 per year based on location and industry standards.
