Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse III is a key member of the 7 East team, providing exceptional care to patients undergoing general surgery and bariatric procedures. As a seasoned nurse, you will utilize your expertise to deliver high-quality patient care, while also serving as a role model and preceptor for new staff members.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized care plans that address complex physical, psychosocial, and educational requirements.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to prepare and update care plans, utilizing multidisciplinary resources to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Implement evidence-based practices, performing bedside point-of-care testing as needed, and serving as a resource for other staff members.
  • Develop and present staff education programs, promoting professional growth and development within the unit.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, contributing to the achievement of unit goals and promoting a culture of excellence.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Professional certification relevant to the practice area and on the ANCC Magnet approved list within the probationary period of employment.
  • One (1) year of nursing experience.
