We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at NRG Energy. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for communicating with and addressing all customer needs and inquiries as well as partnering with field employees and management and completing all applicable administrative duties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones, scheduling customers and assisting customers with any/all inquiries.
  • Providing customer services relating to sales, sales promotions, installations and communications.
  • Taking incoming and making outbound calls, processing credit cards, offering service plans, scheduling appointments, processing refunds.
  • Managing all data entry including but not limited to utilization of emails, text messages and other communicative tools to help efficiently route manpower and other resources throughout the days.
  • Making outbound customer phone calls in limited situations typically when following up on permits and inspections as well as rescheduling services for customers.
  • Ensuring that good customer relations are maintained, and that customer claims and complaints are resolved fairly, effectively and in accordance with the consumer laws.
  • Following location initiatives and proactively informing and educating customers.
  • Making recommendations and in some cases developing improvement plans in response to customer surveys.
  • Following all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2-4 years of experience working in an office setting with a minimum of 20% of daily duties assisting customers over the phone.
  • General computer competency is required, including a minimum of 1-year experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • The ability to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing, is essential.
  • A valid driver's license is also required.
  • The ability to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
