Seeking a skilled Corrections Psychologist to provide psychotherapy and diagnostic services within a correctional facility. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver effective mental health care to inmates, ensuring outcomes meet established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychiatric intakes, assessments, and evaluations for inmate patients, and provide individual and group psychotherapy.
- Diagnose and treat mental illnesses, conduct psychological assessments, and provide crisis intervention.
- Collaborate with mental health and medical staff to contribute to behavioral health program development.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all care provided.
- Promote a therapeutic environment and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in NJ.
- Active CPR certification required.
- Knowledge of mental health delivery systems and psychological evaluation techniques.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and interpersonal communication skills.
