Job Summary:
Geisinger Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing team in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining patient hygiene, and ensuring patient safety.
  • Obtain and maintain the integrity of specimens, process orders, and transport specimens to the laboratory.
  • Assist with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and taking corrective measures in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in obtaining and communicating electronic information, scheduling tests, and coordinating patient transportation.
  • Assist with ordering supplies, communicating with food services, and operating clerical equipment.

Position Details:

Full-time position - 36 hours/week

Hours: 7pm-7:30am (3-12 hour shifts/week)

Every other weekend and a holiday rotation

May float if needed

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) - (Required)

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year - Clinical (Preferred)

Certification(s) and License(s):
Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months - Default Issuing Body
