This role offers an exciting opportunity with Sharp Business Systems for a Technical Service Support Specialist, primarily focused on delivering exceptional service.

Under the guidance of the Branch Field Service Manager, you will be tasked with effectively managing a designated area of Sharp equipment while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manages and services a designated area, focusing on the installation, upkeep, and repair of Sharp equipment with minimal oversight.
  • Achieves resolution for at least 85% of service requests following training and area assignment.
  • Proficiently executes all mechanical and electronic adjustments on equipment as specified in the Technical Service Manual and Field Engineering Bulletins.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting schematics and conducting all electrical troubleshooting as outlined in the Technical Service Manual and Field Engineering Bulletins, including our complete digital product line.
  • Effectively handles standard customer relations issues and escalates any unusual situations to a higher authority.
  • Maintains an organized parts inventory, achieving exemplary inventory control and usage levels.
  • Completes all necessary administrative tasks accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborates with colleagues and management to meet Branch service objectives.
  • Keeps the Group Leader or Branch Field Service Manager informed of equipment performance issues and reports all actions taken towards resolution.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Branch Field Service Manager.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in copier repair or the maintenance and repair of electronic devices.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical vocational training in electronics or electro-mechanical fields is preferred.
  • Must hold a Comptia A+ certification.
  • Strong communication skills, excellent customer service abilities, and mechanical aptitude are essential.
  • Successful completion of Sharp equipment pre-testing and training is required.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office software is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License and automobile insurance in accordance with company guidelines are necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel locally on a daily basis to various customer locations.
  • Requires frequent kneeling, bending, and extensive use of hands and tools, along with walking long distances.
  • Regularly requires moving or lifting up to 50 pounds, with the ability to lift 75 pounds on occasion.
  • Exposure to live electrical circuits is part of the role.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions, including heat and cold, and handle flammable materials.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces is required.
  • Specific vision abilities are necessary for this position, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
