Senior Magnetics Design Engineer

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. is a leading manufacturer of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer - Magnetics to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a talented Senior Design Engineer - Magnetics to design and develop custom magnetics for various applications, including aerospace, industrial, military, medical, and automotive. The successful candidate will work closely with our development team to provide technical leadership and expertise in electrical, mechanical, thermal, and safety agency requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop custom magnetics, including transformers, inductors, and coils, for various applications.
- Work directly with customers to complete magnetics design for target applications.
- Apply knowledge of materials, equipment, and production processes to ensure a quality product that meets or exceeds customer needs or expectations.
- Independently perform complex engineering work, including directing technicians or production personnel in completion of sample builds, qualification builds, and evaluation of materials and processes.
- Maintain knowledge of competitive status in the field for the group's products and of other products that may be of interest to the division.
- Responsible for distribution of pertinent information to all areas that might benefit from the knowledge gained.
- 10+ years progressive experience as a design engineer in magnetics and/or switch mode power supply design.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Must be a US person due to ITAR product restrictions.
