Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

At Point Blank Enterprises, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production of complex composite armor products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with design engineering to ensure products are developed for manufacturability.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes for the production of complex composite armor products.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Design and optimize workflow, layout, and equipment to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with quality and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and improve product quality.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations and quality issues.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and materials to improve manufacturing capabilities.
  • Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in all manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of New Product Development and Process Engineering experience.
  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the production of products produced from composite materials.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Experience in the Automotive and/or Aerospace Industries is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data to make informed decisions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software is a plus.
Work Environment:
  • The position is primarily based in a manufacturing environment and may require occasional travel to other facilities or supplier locations.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
