Position Summary:

We are in search of a proficient Project Manager with 3-5 years of expertise in initiating and overseeing new production processes in injection molding. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid history of managing projects from inception to completion, including the administration of engineering modifications throughout the project timeline. Candidates holding a PMP certification will be given significant preference, showcasing a robust understanding of project management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee projects associated with the launch of new production in injection molding, ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams encompassing engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance to fulfill project goals.
  • Create detailed project plans that encompass scope, timeline, budget, resources, and risk management strategies, utilizing project management software such as Microsoft Projects.
  • Regularly track project progress and performance indicators, identifying and resolving issues to guarantee timely achievement of project milestones.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies effectively to stakeholders and upper management.
  • Engage professionally with clients on both technical and delivery matters, ensuring satisfaction and managing expectations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Oversee engineering changes and ensure their seamless integration into the project plan without affecting timelines or quality.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges, developing mitigation strategies by assessing project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle to enhance processes and project delivery efficiency.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to capture insights and implement best practices for future endeavors.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and IATF (International Automotive Task Force) standards during project execution.
  • Familiarity with the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process as outlined by AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) is beneficial.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience within the injection molding sector, focusing on new production launches.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly recommended.
  • Proficient in project management software tools, particularly Microsoft Projects.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively across various functions and organizational levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients on technical and commercial issues.
  • Familiarity with IATF standards and the APQP process as specified by AIAG.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience in the automotive and/or injection molding industries.
