Job Summary and QualificationsKey Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Radiology Department.
- Assist physicians during operative procedures.
- Maintain and review patient records, including documenting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications according to physician orders.
Qualifications:
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If holding a compact license, an active Florida RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care environment is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in procedural or interventional radiology nursing is preferred.
- Experience with administering conscious sedation is preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred, to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer to the position.
Strong critical thinking skills, a commitment to service excellence, and effective interpersonal communication abilities are essential. Candidates should be able to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal directives, possess PC skills, and have knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
