We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Assistant/Unit Administrative Assistant to join our team at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, including assistance with daily living activities, hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition, and progress activity.
- Answer incoming telephone calls, transfer calls as necessary, and facilitate effective communication among team members.
- Assist with bed management, transfer services, and coordinate with Operations Administrator as needed.
- Document patient care, diagnostic measurements, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Conduct hourly rounding to ensure patient needs are met, monitor and address noise levels, and respond to patient calls promptly.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Eighteen months of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Patient Care Assistant (PCA) experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure (for Skilled Nursing Facility/SNF/Rehab departments only).
