Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled professional to take on a senior role within our Financial Services Department at Booth & Associates, LLC. This position is pivotal in steering the department towards excellence in financial advisory services tailored for municipal utilities and electric cooperatives.

Key Responsibilities:

This role encompasses a variety of critical functions, including but not limited to:

  • Developing, reviewing, and enhancing financial models using Excel and Access databases.
  • Conducting comprehensive cost-of-service analyses.
  • Formulating utility pricing structures.
  • Assisting in the creation of financial forecasts and strategic planning.
  • Performing detailed cost/benefit evaluations.
  • Preparing and delivering impactful presentations.
  • Providing expert testimony on behalf of clients when necessary.

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Financial Services and may involve overseeing the work of other team members as deemed appropriate.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proven ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
  • A comprehensive understanding of utility pricing, cost allocation methods, and regulatory accounting practices.
  • A keen awareness of the technological, market, and commercial dynamics influencing the utility sector's evolution.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain long-term advisory relationships with clients, actively engaging in industry networks.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in utility finance or related fields.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or mathematics; CPA or MBA credentials are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office applications.
  • Experience in the utility sector is essential.
