Senior Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Mental Health Counselor to join our team at The MetroHealth System. As a key member of our Psychiatry department, you will provide mental health evaluations and treatments for patients in an assigned area, including child or adult outpatient clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic assessments, individual psychotherapy treatment, group therapy/counseling sessions, and crisis intervention services.
- Collaborate with Psychiatrists and other colleagues as needed to contribute to preparations for mental health and substance use care programs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based behavioral health interventions to support patients.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other Behavioral Health-related field of study from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
- Currently licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
- 2 years of post-master's experience working with patients as a clinical Social Worker or Counselor.
- Currently licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision (LISW-S) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision (LPCC-S).
- Experience with Psychiatric evaluations and dispositions, therapeutic interventions, and treatment planning.
