The Bindery Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the Finishing Department at TSG - The Sheridan Group. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials onto and off binding lines, as well as supporting the mailing process.
Key Responsibilities:- Support operators with machine operation to maintain productivity and efficiency.
- Manage the flow of materials onto and off binding lines to meet production demands.
- Assist in the mailing process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished products.
- Perform hand-related operations in the Finishing Department, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a rapid pace to meet production deadlines.
- A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with team members.
- Ability to perform work productively and safely, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment.
- Reliable attendance is essential, with the ability to work mandatory overtime as needed.
- Must possess the ability to work at a rapid pace, with good visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to a maximum of 50 lbs. frequently, with continuous standing, frequent walking, and occasional sitting, crouching, and reaching/working overhead.
