OrthoNebraska is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to enhance our Pre/Post-Op team. This role is essential in providing exceptional care to our orthopaedic patients in a dynamic and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with patients in their immediate surroundings.
- Facilitating smooth patient transitions into the Pre/Post-Op area.
- Preparing and stocking preoperative and postoperative areas for upcoming procedures.
- Assisting patients with daily living activities while providing clinical support as per qualifications.
- Supporting nursing staff by monitoring patient conditions and responding to needs promptly.
- Taking ownership of assigned tasks and ensuring their completion effectively.
- Contributing to the training and orientation of new staff by sharing expertise and skills.
- Performing general clerical and secretarial duties as required.
- Following detailed verbal or written instructions accurately.
- Communicating effectively to address routine challenges.
- Exhibiting patience, confidence, maturity, and compassion while being a collaborative team member.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Must possess an active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license in Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, or to be obtained within 60 days of employment.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Nurse Assistant in an acute care environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- This role is classified as Medium Work, necessitating the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently to move objects. The physical demands exceed those of Light Work.
