Position Overview

OrthoNebraska is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to enhance our Pre/Post-Op team. This role is essential in providing exceptional care to our orthopaedic patients in a dynamic and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with patients in their immediate surroundings.
  • Facilitating smooth patient transitions into the Pre/Post-Op area.
  • Preparing and stocking preoperative and postoperative areas for upcoming procedures.
  • Assisting patients with daily living activities while providing clinical support as per qualifications.
  • Supporting nursing staff by monitoring patient conditions and responding to needs promptly.
  • Taking ownership of assigned tasks and ensuring their completion effectively.
  • Contributing to the training and orientation of new staff by sharing expertise and skills.
  • Performing general clerical and secretarial duties as required.
  • Following detailed verbal or written instructions accurately.
  • Communicating effectively to address routine challenges.
  • Exhibiting patience, confidence, maturity, and compassion while being a collaborative team member.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Must possess an active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license in Nebraska.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, or to be obtained within 60 days of employment.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Nurse Assistant in an acute care environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • This role is classified as Medium Work, necessitating the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently to move objects. The physical demands exceed those of Light Work.
