Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Consulting Operations to join our team at Financial Aid Services. As a key member of our consulting division, you will play a critical role in helping us grow and scale our business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing consultant assignments and client placements for consulting and interim staffing client engagements. This will involve creating efficient systems to place the best-fit consultants with clients, collaborating with the VP of Consulting & Compliance on special assignments, and setting up workflows in our project management system to schedule major activities and milestones for each client engagement.
Additionally, you will lead the client onboarding process for new client engagements, including managing kickoff calls, collaborating with FAS Finance & Accounting to set billing codes and time tracking, and coordinating with college/university contacts to network and system access to the Student Information System for our consultants.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be tracked and managed using professional systems and processes throughout the business. This will include billable hours per day/week, utilization rates, placement rates, average billable rates, and staffing capacity. You will also prepare and manage dashboard views to support senior leaders for use at management meetings, quarterly Board meetings, and monthly operating reviews.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in project management, preferably in a professional services, consulting, or technology firm. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high sense of urgency and a bias for action. Responsibilities:
- Manage consultant assignments and client placements for consulting and interim staffing client engagements.
- Lead the client onboarding process for new client engagements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Project management certification highly preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a role requiring a high degree of project management.
- Experience as a project manager in a professional services, consulting, or technology firm preferred.
