Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Job Summary:
Community Access Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve greater independence, build relationships, and participate in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support individuals in developing and achieving personal goals, fostering independence and self-confidence.
  • Engage individuals in community activities, outings, and social events.
  • Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and health status.
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is a plus, but not required—training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
