Staff Accountant Role Overview

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in the company's financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close and ensure timely completion of financial reports.
  • Maintain sound accounting methods and systems in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Prepare journal entries, bank account and general ledger reconciliations, and special projects analysis.
  • Oversee reconciliation of suspense account activities and record incoming wire transfers and returned items.
  • Ensure accuracy of monthly backlog profitability reports and assist in preparation of weekly reporting requirements.
  • Prepare monthly revenue entries, various month-end accruals, reclass and allocation entries, and run ESSBASE system on a daily basis during the month-end close.
  • Support accounts payable activities and perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required or combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years general accounting experience required.
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • JD Edwards experience preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Compensation and Benefits

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an annual salary of $66,560.00 - $78,857, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations. This position may be eligible for bonuses and commissions.
