We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Lab team at Good Samaritan Medical Center. As a Cardiovascular Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our lab.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of the Director and/or designee.
- Function as a team leader and facilitator, providing communications with other health team members.
- Closely monitor patients for complications, administer medications, including moderate sedation, and document procedures.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel.
- May precept student nurses and new hires.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action while working in a critical care environment.
- Will take call for emergent procedures with on-call arrival time requirement of 30 minutes.
- Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire
- Minimum experience: at least one year of nursing in the critical care setting (e.g., ICU, ED, Trauma)
- Prefer three years of critical care experience
- Prefer prior experience in procedural areas (e.g., Cath/IR/EP/Neuro)
