Job Title: Palliative Care Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate healthcare professional to join our team at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, providing expert care to patients facing serious illness.

The successful candidate will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, focusing on comprehensive pain and symptom management, as well as emotional and spiritual support, to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' unique needs and goals.
  • Perform assessments, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to inform patient care decisions.
  • Counsel patients and their families on complex medical decision-making and facilitate goals of care discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program.
  • Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an APRN or PA, preferably in palliative care.
  • Palliative care certification or eligibility preferred.

Compensation:
$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
