Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a Radiology Tech Student to join our team as a PRN Radiology Tech Student. As a Radiology Tech Student, you will assist technologists with obtaining radiographs and perform various imaging procedures by applicable scope and standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Assist technologists with obtaining radiographs with stationary and fluoroscopic equipment.
- Assist technologists with obtaining radiographs with portable units as deemed necessary on the nursing units as well as within the radiology department.
- Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepare equipment and supplies.
- Assist technologists with positioning patients and the performance of imaging procedures.
- Assure appropriate orders are obtained and followed during the performance of all procedures.
- Verify patient identification before the performance of any procedure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Senior in a Program in Radiologic Technology required.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of imaging coverage to the patients of Sovah Health - Martinsville.
