Job Title: Radiology Tech PRN

Job Summary:

Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to perform various imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diagnostic radiology and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and timely imaging procedures.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as ordered by physicians.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implement safety standards.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and identify issues with image quality.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
  • Obtain images with portable units as deemed necessary on floors and operating rooms.

Requirements:

  • Graduate or Registry Eligible Radiologic Technologist of an educational program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registry Eligible Technologist must be registered within three (3) months of graduation.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Proficient in diagnostic exams, fluoroscopy, and invasive procedures/exams.
  • Knowledge of all diagnostic radiological equipment.
  • Computer skills desired.
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing work demands and priorities.
