About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Specialist to join our team at College of DuPage. This is a part-time position that offers a competitive hourly rate of $19.70.

As a Learning Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing various test administration and instructional support services to students and faculty in our off-campus Learning Commons (LC). You will also provide programmatic and logistical support to the LC and Testing Center Supervisor, as well as the Assistant Manager of Learning Support Services.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer academic, placement, and high-stakes certification and licensure exams, utilizing COD systems, including Colleague, Blackboard, data software, and employee portal.
  • Maintain daily LC & Testing Center operations, providing excellent customer service, with a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude.
  • Implement opening and closing procedures to maintain an organized and professional environment for test candidates and staff.
  • Oversee activity in the open computer lab.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve testing program software problems quickly to ensure candidates' ability to test as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Two years' college or equivalent experience in an educational setting required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in spoken English.
  • Basic computer skills required.
