Civil Construction Supervisor

Civil Foreman Job Summary

The Civil Foreman will oversee and coordinate the work of the construction team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the work of construction workers, including laborers, equipment operators, and skilled tradespeople.
• Plan and schedule work to meet project timelines and budget requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and oversee the implementation of safety programs.
• Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.
• Review project plans and specifications to ensure work is completed in accordance with design requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with experience in civil construction preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Experience supervising and coordinating the work of construction workers.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed outdoors at construction sites in all weather conditions.
• May require long hours and weekend work to meet project timelines.
• May require travel to project sites.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at heights.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Must have good vision, including depth perception and peripheral vision.
• Must have good hearing and be able to communicate effectively in a noisy environment.
