Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train food service staff to ensure high-quality service and food preparation.
  • Monitor and maintain food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with menu planning, inventory management, and food ordering to ensure efficient and effective food operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • One year of experience in institutional or commercial food service.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, maintain records, and complete forms accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles, as well as mathematical concepts for cash handling and inventory management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role or in a related field, such as hospitality or customer service.
  • Knowledge of food service software and systems, including point-of-sale and inventory management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
