About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Engineer to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in identifying and implementing energy conservation measures, optimizing equipment performance, and reducing facility operating costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze building and energy data to identify meaningful outcomes and create consultative documentation for customers.
  • Provide continuous commissioning analysis for Intelligent Services customers, utilizing data analytics findings and knowledge of facility equipment, sequence of operations, and expected condition behaviors.
  • Coordinate and manage existing building Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx) projects, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
  • Facilitate the integration of Trane's Fault Detection & Diagnostic (FDD) tool, manage equipment mapping and setup for data collection, and set up and manage analytics within the software platform.
  • Visit customer sites to present data analysis findings, energy savings opportunities, and work with customers to implement solutions.
  • Prepare and perform energy audits, ECM calculations, and MBCx reports, identifying top maintenance and energy savings actions through fault detections.
  • Lead monthly customer communication to discuss site stability, re-configuration modifications, and FDD application functionality, results, priorities, and value.
  • Create customer documentation of analysis recommendations and Commissioning Reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Interact with Sales and Commercial teams to provide pre-sales technical support for customer engagements.
  • Work with Engineering to validate analytics logic, make recommendations for changes, and identify new analytic opportunities.
  • Diagnose and correct customer application, deployment, and connectivity issues, ensuring seamless customer experience.
  • Organize and deliver information to field technicians as required, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Lead quarterly or semiannual Technical Strategy Review meetings for each Connected Service Agreement customer, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Fulfill Digital Services contract obligations effectively, efficiently, and within safety standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Gather and validate preliminary information, perform facility walkthroughs, construction plan reviews, or other requirements, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
  • Collaborate with account managers and field technicians to assist in growing sales for Service Agreements, Service Quoted, Turnkey, and Controls sales, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and schedule work as needed with the Project Administrator service team, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in energy auditing, with experience leading multiple projects.
  • Strong familiarity with the operation of energy management systems, building automation systems, HVAC Systems, and/or temperature controls required.
  • Experience in effectively understanding and manipulating technical information and responding to questions from fellow team members or customers.
  • Experience collecting data, analyzing, and presenting data in a clear and accurate manner.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included.
