Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team at Betacom. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of telecommunications sites, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the installation and maintenance of telecommunications sites, including tower construction, antenna installation, and equipment setup.
  • Supervise and train a team of construction personnel, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement construction plans and schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify potential construction challenges and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers and engineers, to ensure that construction projects align with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards, including OSHA and RF awareness training.
  • Manage and maintain a fleet of construction equipment, including bulldozers, boom trucks, and graders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring that they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor and report on construction progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent in a related field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on telecommunications site installation and maintenance.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects, including tower construction, antenna installation, and equipment setup.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of construction personnel.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate construction challenges.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ComTrain, OSHA30, RF Awareness Training, and First AID/CPR certification.
  • Experience with Anritsu Site Master, Andrew, PPC, tower mapping, and antenna equipment.
  • Experience stacking self-support towers, installing waveguide, antennas, and microwave dishes.
  • RF Awareness, replacement, and maintenance experience, including coax, jumpers, TMA's, connectors, and weatherproofing.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will be primarily outdoors, with occasional work in an office environment. The construction team will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The team will also be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.

The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, climbing, and lifting, with occasional use of heavy equipment. The employee must be able to lift and move heavy objects, including construction equipment and materials.
