Job Summary:

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation seeks a highly skilled and experienced Wellness Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and coordination of our Well Child and Immunization activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the delivery of public health services, wellness examinations, and immunizations.
  • Collaborate with Community Health Aides and Practitioners (CHA/Ps) to integrate them into the regular execution of public health screenings, examinations, and immunizations.
  • Oversee program case managers and ancillary staff, providing field supervision within their scope of practice.
  • Deliver presentations related to the well-child/immunization program.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal agency regulations, as well as contractual agreements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or completion of LPN or Community Health Practitioner certification required.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a health promotion/health education field.
  • Experience in supervisory and staff management, case management, VacTrAK, RPMS/database management, grant and budget management, working in a cross-cultural setting and/or rural Alaska setting, and experience as a trainer or educator.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in health sciences or Nursing and a Master's Degree in Public Health or health administration.
  • Knowledge and experience with Pediatrics preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
